Raveca Butcure, married, one son. He is a sheep farmer. The Butcure family lives in the village of Bulgarus, near Sannicolau Mare, in Timis County. The family has been raising sheep for more than 20 years. They are originally from Maramures and moved to Bulgarus 15 years ago. As a child, Raveca has been helping his parents with sheep breeding, and even worked as a shepherd later, for a while. His family now owns 360 sheep on the farm. They also own 5 hectares of agricultural land and almost 24 rented hectares, ensuring the entire feeding necessities for the animals out of this land. Some lambs are slaughtered in the household and sold to individuals, the rest are delivered to a company situated in another village (Turnu). In addition to sheep, the Butcure family also grows pigs, cows, and birds, and they always have something to sell from the household to clients in Sannicolau Mare and Timisoara (milk, cheese, pork, lamb, chicken, eggs etc.). More than 10 pigs are slaughtered annually and sold to the family’s customers.
Raveca and his family have accessed two loans from Vitas so far, the first one in 2018, used to refinance a loan from another Credit Institution and to buy a hectare of land. The second loan was accessed for the housing improvements.
